About the event
This event is designed to be a combined Home Guard exersize in an environment of stark realism. It will take place over a weekend in November ( the dates shown are not necessarily the true dates ). The true dates will be advised in due course. members of the group will be in full battledress and have their full kit with them.
All aspects of the re-enactment, will be based on the year 1943. An overnight stay in a pill box overlooking the lake will be our defensive postion for the night, during which time we will be on the alert for activities of the enemy in its attempt to breech those defences. This is not for the feint hearted, but having achieved our objective of absolute realism true to the spirit of our Home Guard in 1943, we will have come away with a greater sence of the sacrifices made on the Home Front during WW II.
All Home Guard units are welcome to apply to join us by making contact via the website. The exact location will also be disclosed nearer to the time
